Forward Trainer


Projekt Forward Trainer je predvsem projekt, ki budi zavedanje o tem, da obstojajo težave z branjem in pisanjem in da se je moč z njimi spoprijeti. Projekt je nadgradil FORWARD, predhodni projekt partnerskih organizacij in koordinirajoče ustanove VOX.

Kaj

V času projekta FORWARD se je izkazalo, da ni dovolj preučevati zgolj učne strategije dislektikov/disleksikov, marveč morajo dislektiki/disleksiki in učitelji dobiti pripomočke za spoprijemanje z učnimi težavami in težavami branja in pisanja.

Posebni cilji projekta naslednji:

  • zbrati izkustveno znanje izobraževalcev, tistih, ki že pomagajo odraslim na tem področju,
  • spisati priročnik za učitelje, izobraževalce, mentorje kot vodilo za rabo različnih pedagoških in andragoških prijemov za boljše učenje vseh,
  • uporabiti projektne rezultate kot temelj vrste mednarodnih tečajev Grundtvig 3 in tečajev na nacionalni ravni,
  • zagotoviti širjenje rezultatov projekta, vključiti tečaj v kataloig tečajev,
  • širiti vedenje o rezultatih projekta na različne načine kot so: projektna spletna stran, projektna brošura, uporaba mrež partnerskih organizacij.

Ciljne skupine

Učitelji, izobraževalci, posredno pa tudi disleksiki sami.


Dejavnosti / metode / rezultati

Projektni partnerji so ustvarili tečaj, ki ga je moč uporabiti v posameznih državah ali mednarodno. Udeležencem tečaj daje posebno znanje, pa tudi moč, da se spoprimejo s težavami. Daje tudi pedagoško in andragoško znanje.  Vrhu tega smo v Sloveniji pripravili učbenik za visokošolske učitelje in pridali članke o nekaterih lastnih raziskavah na področju.  Inštitut za disleksijo, sekcija Slovenske UTŽO je rezultat projektov FORWARD in FORWARD TRAINER.

FORWARD TRAINER

Forum For Reading and Writing Difficulties Among Adults (2004-2006)


The Forward Trainer project was above all an awareness-raising project. It upgraded FORWARD, another project on reading and writing difficulties.

What

During the first FOWARD project it became clear that not only learning strategies dyslectics develop should be studied but people with dyslexia and teachers should be provided with useful tools.

Thus the project’s specific objectives were:

  • to collect the experience of educators who were already offering support for adults with reading and writing difficulties, including dyslexia
  • to draft a handbook for teachers, trainers, tutors, shop stewards on how to use different pedagogical approaches that help adults with reading and writing difficulties difficulties/dyslexia learn better
  • to use the project results as a base for a series of Grundtvig 3 courses and national courses
  • to ensure the dissemination of these results through the inclusion of this course in the G3 catalogue by some of the partners involved in the project, as well as disseminating the information about the courses by all possible means: the project’s web page, brochures, through the partners’ networks.

Target groups

The target groups included teachers and trainers, but the course and the handbook have been directed generally towards persons who are likely to be in the first line to meet people with reading and writing difficulties.


Objave

The project partners produced a course that can be used at both international and national level. The idea behind the course was to empower the participants with specific knowledge, information, pedagogical skills and approaches to supporting adults with reading and writing difficulties.

A specific national result was a handbook introducing university teachers to understanding dyslexia and learning stratgies of their students.
